Exclusive: Streetwear Brand Bonkers Corner To Raise $12-15 Mn To Deepen Offline Push
Omnichannel streetwear brand Bonkers Corner is in advanced discussions to raise $12-15 Mn in its ongoing Series A funding round, sources told Inc42. The funding round is expected to comprise both primary fund infusion as well as secondary transactions.
As per sources, The funding round will be led by private equity (PE) firm India SME Investments along with participation from a host of other investors.
The startup plans to utilise these funds to fuel its offline expansion plans, sources added.
This will mark the second funding round for the six-year old D2C startup — materialising weeks after it raised its first external investment during Shark Tank India Season 5. In February, the startup raised ₹1.5 Cr from Emcure Pharmaceuticals’ Namita Thapar at an implied valuation of ₹300 Cr.
Bonkers Corner’s valuation post the ongoing Series A funding round is yet to be determined. Inc42 has reached out to the startup to get more clarity on the funding round. The story will be updated based on their responses.
Founded in 2020 by Shubham Gupta, Bonkers is a streetwear brand offering a wide range of apparel products including oversized graphic T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, co-ord sets, among others.
The brand was also a part of Inc42’s flagship D2C list — Fast42 2026 edition.
After starting its journey as a pure-play D2C brand, Bonkers doubled down on expanding its offline footprint with experience-led stores over the past few years. Currently, it has around 23 physical stores across the country.
On the financial front, Bonkers’ operating revenue for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025 (FY25) stood at ₹122.8 Cr, marking a 23% jump from a revenue of ₹99.5 Cr in the previous fiscal year.
Meanwhile, the startup recorded a net profit of ₹4.3 Cr in the fiscal under review, marking a 36% decline from ₹6.7 Cr PAT recorded in FY24. Its total expenditure for the fiscal grew 31% to ₹118.5 Cr from ₹90 Cr in FY24.
Bonkers Corner competes with the likes of The Souled Store, Snitch, Bewakoof, Urban Monkey, among others in the rapidly growing Indian streetwear market.
India Streetwear Market is projected to touch $20.86 Bn by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 7.58% from $10.86 Bn in 2024. With GenZ being the target audience for most of the new-age fashion brands, investors are infusing capital to tap on this opportunity.
For instance, last year, D2C fashion brand Snitch raised $40 Mn as a part of its Series B funding round to increase the number of its offline retail stores.
Similarly, D2C fashion brand MyDesignation recently raised ₹40 Cr in a Series A funding round to expand its offline footprint in cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, while further scaling its existing presence in Bengaluru.
